In 2011, I launched (H)afrocentric at the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco, CA. Every year since, a new comic book has followed. In the summer of 2016, a weekly comic strip debuted in The Establishment and AfroPunk. The comic strip has now been featured in Blavity, SF Chronicle, and Colorlines.
After the success of (H)afrocentric, I began writing a web series with fellow writer Chanel Glover called Sasha & Condi. Sasha and Condi is a mockumentary, where 60 Minutes meets Drunk History. The series reimagines the 90s through the eyes of two Black girls and their childhoods.
I’m passionate about fusing humor, storytelling and content creation. As a writer, I take the approach of centering characters to draw on audience emotions. My goal is to infuse laughter and joy into all of the content I create.
